24. About 10 years ago, I was talking with her about pay...

I was doing dead-end warehouse work for like, $12/hour I think... I was floored when she told me I made more than her! I think she may have even been a shift supervisor at that point too... Criminally underpaid...

29. Sounds like a story that needs to be told!

...the 47% coming to the aid of the 1%.

If the 1% had their way, she'd have to ask them if they paid for her services, otherwise, she'd have to leave them to fend for themselves.

9. Thanks to all the heroes out there tonight...

We still have power in my neighborhood in NY, but my Dad was manager of the power company here and I know that there are so many who are not sleeping tonight.

21. Let's hope not, indeed!

I believe she's working Moosup tonight. She actually works for 2 different garages, Moosup and Griswold. Hopefully she gets a couple days to recoup after this.

15. its these kind of people that should be getting

the million dollar salaries, not the CEOs who fly in executive jets and sit in cushy high end chairs all day.

23. She definitely wouldn't object! Lol...

But then again, I suspect as long as she could pay her bills and occasionally go down to Florida to see our Dad, she'd probably do it for half of whatever she is making.

Your sister is one who deserves more than roses, but at least roses nonetheless.

27. And who was it that said we didn't need more police, or firefighters, or

first responders in general? Or more teachers (with average class sizes some places over 50)??

31. Update...

I talked with her a bit ago on facebook. She has been able to get a little bit of rest. I sent her a link to this thread, and she was touched. She wanted me to make sure you all know she appreciated the kind words and support!
