Early Voting in Nevada Makes Democrats OptimisticBy Kyle Trygstad - Roll Call Staff

Sue Lowden was at her Las Vegas early voting location as soon as it opened at 10 a.m. Wednesday. But like so many other voters in battleground Nevada, the former state party chairwoman had to wait 30 minutes in a line out the door that had only lengthened by the time she left.
Its packed, Lowden, who lost her bid for the GOP Senate nomination in 2010, said by phone later.
Early voting is exploding in the Silver State, and Democrats so far are the biggest benefactors. The Democratic advantage, coupled with the partys strong voter registration edge, has party insiders in the state at the very least optimistic about the presidential and Senate contests with just more than a week to go.
I think that looking at whats happened so far with the early vote, were hitting on all eights, said Billy Vassiliadis, an informal adviser to statewide Democratic efforts and longtime ally of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.).
<And...>
In Clark County alone, which includes Las Vegas, after the first five days of early voting, more than 150,000 had voted in person and 30,000 had sent in absentee ballots. Through Wednesday, registered Democrats had accounted for 50 percent of the votes cast so far in the states largest county, while 33 percent were cast by Republicans and 17 percent by those registered as independents or with third parties.

10/27/12 DU thread link
GOTV in Nevada (NV) Day 7, add ~4,000 to gains, closing in on insurmountable lead
Day 7 1:00 PM EST 10/27/12 Update, 28% of registered voters
Democrats-- 161,897, or 45.4% percent (Dems to Reps only: 55.0%)
Republicans -132,584, or 37.2% percent (Dems to Reps only: 45.0%)
IAPs -- 62,015, or 17.4%
Clark County (Las Vegas) Democratic lead: 39,786
Washoe County (Reno) Democratic Lead: 861
Day 7 totals from Nevada SoS PDF
Jon Ralston Reports
Assuming Nevada IAPs support based on polls of 53/44 in favor of Romney and remaining undecided 3% for 3rd party candidates, the numbers above would reflect:
Dems: 189.184, or 53.1%, percentage is unchanged from Day 6
Reps: 146,986, or 46.4%
This may be something closer to a realistic conservative estimate of the final result ratios.
