Voted for President O. today. It was the only thing that went right.
My central heat is out. The repair guy was here today and pronounced it fixed. I called him back 2 hours later and pronounced it not fixed. He said he couldn't make it back until tomorrow morning. Well it's not terrible because I live in Houston, but we are experiencing our 2nd cold snap of the season so it's cool enough to make you wish the goddamn heater worked.
Also my DSL connection is working only intermittently. I called AT&T to get my dial tone working again (they're not my ISP, but they do provide the phone connection for the DSL). They said they'd fix it on Monday. So for the weekend, I just have to deal with intermittent service.
Finally, a week ago I scheduled my cats for their annual tune-up (shots and dental work) at Petsmart. It was supposed to happen tomorrow , 10/28. I had to go in there today for some cat food and decided to make sure everything was on track. "Tomorrow? Oh no, Mr. Frank. We don't have your cats scheduled for anything." I couldn't help but ask WHY? Anyway, now they're scheduled for 11/11. Works for me. I can't understand how they dropped the ball the first time. I looked right at this lady, and she told me 10/28. That's tomorrow. Oh well. Whatever.
It's been one hell of a day, and it will be one cold ass night without central heat!
