Just voted for Obama and so did my 18 year old liberal daughter!!!

I know, not huge news in Kansas, but still excited to vote with my daughter for the first time!!

She is a Freshman in college and it was her first vote!

So it was a fun day here. Even in the hell hole of RED Kansas.

We live in MD and our county is 70% DEM, but I will take my 6 year old with into the polling booth with me so he can vote for Obama. Good behaviors are learned early. This election will impact their lives more than it will ours.

I know what you are feeling, it was pretty awesome.

We've been having issues affording college so he took off for a year and has been working for Obama non stop for the last few months. He's out banging on doors again today.

I always laugh when I see those threads about "kids today"

We voted by mail.

One thing to note if you want to be a permanent mail in voter you need to update your record to permanent mail in voter with the state of Colorado or you probably won't receive one in the mail for the next election.

Here's link to register or verify/update your record in Colorado:

Assuming that the president wins, she should be very excited to have voted! You're a good mom!

Four years ago it was my 20-year-old daughter's first time to vote. When Obama visited NM on a campaign stop, she and I got to the university *seven hours early* to get a good place in line. We wound up amazingly close to the stage (though people pushed ahead of us). . .

But when he won, she was so ecstatic! It's something I'll never forget.
