Almost 1.4 Million Pledge For Jesus as Write-In Candidate in 2012, as Disgruntled Evangelicals Vent

Almost 1.4 Million Pledge For Jesus as Write-In Candidate in 2012, as Disgruntled Evangelicals Vent Their Anti-Mormon, Anti-Obama Ire
talk2action.org / By Bruce Wilson
October 25, 2012 |

As of October 18, 2012, when I reported in my story Graham's Romney Endorsement Accidentally Spreads "Mormonism is a cult" Meme to Millions - about superstar evangelist Billy Graham's disastrous effort to woo Protestant evangelical voters to vote for Mormon Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the 2012 election, I was unaware that the meme might, by then, already have spread to over a million disgruntled evangelicals who had reportedly pledged to vent their anti-Mormon (and anti-Obama) ire at the ballot box this November 6th.

Candidate "A" is clearly a tool of Satan. But candidate "B" is a tool of Satan too and, if elected president, he'll suspend the Constitution and implement a theocracy to be run by his satanically-inspired cult.

"Stop!", cries out evangelist Bill Keller, founder of the Internet ministry liveprayer.com; "CHRISTIANS MUST TAKE A STAND AND SAY "NO" TO SATAN THIS NOVEMBER!!!", he declares, "Vote for Jesus!"

Keller means it. His website http://www.votingforjesus.com/ claims to have received well over one million pledges from voters who say that they will, on November 6, 2012, cast their votes for the write-in candidacy of Jesus Christ for president of the United States.

105. Man, no kidding.

But if you think Satan's on the ballot, then the "other" obvious answer is - vote for the other guy! President Obama!

Yeah, I know the premise of the story, but I do like offering an alternative to those Obama-haters who somehow can't bear to vote for wrongney either. I'd rather a non-Obama vote go to a write-in than to Captain Bain.

Unless he is on my ballot with a (D) next to him then that isn't going to happen, but I support their effort and I hope a lot of them live in Ohio, Virginia and Florida.

Therefore, he would be subject to the other test, of proving he was a citizen of the United States at the adoption of The Constitution. There aren't many witnesses around, perhaps being on the 1790 Census Roles would be sufficient.

Between Gary Johnson in at least 48 states and Jesus, hope they siphon off some Team Romney's base.

Spread the word, use sympathetic tones and a dab of logic when you run into those expressing even the tiniest bit of hesitation and frustration for Team Romney - I know I will.

There are a few problems with his candidacy of course:

2. Not a natural born citizen of the US
3. Have to be 35 to be president, died when 33

But any vote for him is a vote that doesn't go to Romney, so GO FOR IT.

I wrote a long boring, (hey, I'll admit it- lol) post nearly a week ago, about how my evangelical family members said that they will either not be voting, or writing in Santorum. That knocks out about 10 votes that have reliably gone to republican presidential candidates for decades now. All thanks to the Mormon thing.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=1594080

I'd prefer that they not vote at all, but won't count on it since they are unlikely to miss out on the down ticket R's... So F Santorum! They'll probably like this idea better anyway. I'll be sending my mother the link. She'll make sure it gets passed around. Hopefully to some of her church friends too. Bwahaha!

Thanks unhappycamper!

99. Jesus is just alright by me

(I always thought that was a pretty wishy-washy sentiment). Let them write him in: maybe we'll see the Electoral College and the College of Cardinals argue about his eligibility.

I mean, even you get past the nationality, I don't know if America's ready for a Jewish president...especially a liberal Jewish president.

I saw his campaign literature. Waaayyy too big. No way he's gonna catch the modern voter when your platform is a thick book like that. It's all about brevity, directness, these days; sound bites, twitter (does he even have a twitter account?).

I will say, though, he does have a lot of history of political involvement. Sometimes I think, however, he's just banking on his dad's reputation.

if only the laws of the US were based upon the teachings of Jesus: Do not lie, take care of the sick, the elderly, the poor, money won't buy your ticket to heaven, judge not, do not steal, love your fellow man. Don't say you are a Christian and refuse to do what Jesus taught. A Christian is judged by his deeds, not by what he says.

I'd rather have them voting for Jesus than for Romney. Sell all you have and give the money to the poor, forgive seventy times seven times, those who are first will be last, those who are last will be first, the meek will inherit the Earth..... face it, Jesus is a better candidate. If I thought he had a chance of winning I'd vote for him on his platform alone. Of those who have a chance of winning, Obama is the clear choice.

Imagine it, the most hard core conservatives in the country voting for Jesus, the consummate liberal socialist.

Hallelujah, thank you, Jesus!

that says I was born 'less than' & a relationship with him makes me 'equal to' or 'more than'.

The narrative I see is of a guy who did some things that resulted in the horrific deaths of millions of people and still has a billion or so waiting (WTF?!) for him to return so they can get their lives on. Yeah, his followers sucked, but I assign some of the responsiblity for all of this BS to him, in the form of naivety if nothing else. I know I stand pretty much alone on this point, so what?

Without really getting into it - peace.
