15 Days Until the Election, Washington Marijuana Legalization Initiative 502 leading 54-38!

Polling released today shows Washington’s I-502, which aims to regulate and tax marijuana use and sales by adults, is still tracking towards victory. With just 15 days left until Election Day, this poll shows the continued trend of support for Washington State’s marijuana initiative. This latest data, released by Strategies 360, has support for I-502 at 54% and opposition trailing at 38%.

The key to the initiative’s success may be its support amongst typically lagging demographics, such as women and the over 55 crowd. Women are currently supporting I-502 by a 52% to 41% margin and voters over 55 years old support it by a 52% to 38% margin. The highest support group is likely voters who identify or lean Democrat, 72% of whom said they support I-502.

If you live in Washington State there is still time to register. You can register in person to receive your ballot up until October 29th. To find out how, click here and check out the specifics for your current location and you can become a part of making Washington the first state to end marijuana prohibition. 3. That one is a crock of shit though. They have it rigged to nail people for DUID

mercilessly. They will nail you for DUID for just a trace in your system. It's not even an issue if they can prove you were actually impaired. If you get caught with the small legal amount but you are driving, you're busted. They can have you tested and if you smoked any recently, you're screwed.

I favor a legalization that gets the cops out of the weed chasing business.

I think it also cuts the medical growers out.

7. DUI

Here in Finland that shit was made law few years ago, against all informed opinions and statements. The metabolic residues stay in body months after consumption and all testers can test only metabolic residues - which mean nada from medical point of view. What's better in there is that you have common law system, so informed jury has better chance of turning that part of the law over and creating precedents.

4. Suppose CO & WA legalize. What then?

Anybody got any idea? Will the Feds raid state-run pot shops?

Will a bunch more states legalize?

And above all else, why the Hell is the current Administration busting med marijuana ops when the majority of their supporters also support legalization?

Jeez, I've sometimes thought that any liberal candidate in any state outside the snake-handling South could pull in the Dems plus the pothead libertarians for a pretty easy victory by supporting legalization.

8. This is the single issue I have yet to fill out

on my ballot. The way it's written only State sponsored farmers will be allowed to grow.
I'm concerned about Big Ag and big Pharma taking over the growing and distribution. Have
to do some more research before making my decision.
