1. One thing in favor of the vote is that if someone does not vote on it
|

2. The other great thing is that in voting on a constitutional amendment
|
if a voter doesn't vote on the amendment at all it counts as a No vote. I don't know what percentage of voters ignore the constitutional amendments on a ballot - maybe it's not a big percentage - but it puts a heavier burden on those supporting the amendment.
I'm very glad to hear this. In my neighborhood in the south side of the People's Republic of Minneapolis, just about every other yard (including mine) has a Vote No sign. I know opposition to the amendment is very strong in Minneapolis/St. Paul. |

4. I know Minnesotans have it in us to reject this amendment!

I'm cautious, but I have the feeling we're going to win this one. I got another call from MN United for All Families earlier this week. They were looking for volunteers for election day. I told them that I was unable. As much as I would love to help out more, but I'm really busy and I've already spent time making calls, to be honest, I didn't feel like I was that great at it. I was constantly on the verge of crying or shouting, so I offered them a monetary donation instead. They really need volunteers though, so if you have election day off, please give them a call.
btw their office is right off University Avenue in St. Paul and their number is 651-330-6852. |

7. The "NO" signs are everywhere. Neighborhoods I thought were conservative are covered with 'em.
|
Serves to remind me that this isn't even a "Liberal vs. Conservative" issue. This is about human rights, and about human decency.

8. I think I've seen two "yes" signs
|
versus "no" signs as far as the eye can see everyplace I have driven in the last few weeks. Admittedly I live in one of the bluest parts of Minneapolis, but the paucity of "yes" signs has been very heartening. I hope this goes down in flames.
