CNN Just Gave The DNC A HUGE Freebie & Broadcast Their Mourdock/Romney Ad On AC360Last edited Wed Oct 24, 2012, 08:46 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1)
And they discussed it and Rmoney's unfaltering endorsement for roughly 10 minutes. General CNN consensus seems to be it's a game changer.

2. MSNBC (Maddow) just showed it too, and ABC featured the story

The Mourdock statements and Romney endorsement is making headlines- ABC evening news made it a major story tonight. More likely to make a difference than the other 'October surprises' today

3. Good news.

This really should be a big deal. I've gotten so cynical about our media that I tend to assume these things will go unnoticed. Glad to hear it's getting reported on.

4. Long discussion about it on Piers Morgan just now, too
|
Van Jones repetitively DESTROYED Rmoney for supporting the loon in an ad that is still running.
I think the transcript will be well worth posting later when it goes online. |

9. A free *prime time* broadcast of an ad that can destroy Rmoney is a good thing

10. From what I've seen this thing has very strong legs
|
Rmoney is keeping his ad for Mourdock running, Mourdock has actually doubled down and defended his statement, reich wing pundits are supporting Mourdock's statement and it seems the MSM are happy to keep running with it.
This thing isn't fizzling out in just 1 news cycle. |

12. Here's the transcript

(I'm on my phone and can't find the clip, anyone seen if it's on YouTube?)
nother politician has weighed in on rape and pregnancy and once again the country is talking about it. Another male Senate candidate making waves at precisely the moment when the presidential race has become a fight to win female votes. So, with that as the backdrop, here's what Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock said during a debate last night. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) RICHARD MOURDOCK (R), INDIANA SENATORIAL CANDIDATE: I struggled with it myself for a long time, but I came to realize life is that gift from God. And I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen. (END VIDEO CLIP) COOPER: Just moments later, the story went national. By today both political parties were fully involved on a presidential level, and Republicans, Mr. Mourdock included, were trying to do damage control. However, he himself was not backing down. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) MOURDOCK: I believe that life itself is the greatest gift that God can give us. And I know, because polling shows it, that at least 80 percent of all Americans, and I'm sure at least that many Hoosiers think that God is the author of all life. And I stand firmly on that belief. (END VIDEO CLIP) COOPER: Well, he went on to say that those who twist his comments for partisan gain typify what's wrong with Washington. The Democratic National Committee did not twist his words today. They just played them in a new ad, tying them to Mitt Romney. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) MITT ROMNEY (R), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: This fall, I'm supporting Richard Mourdock for Senate. MOURDOCK: Even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen. (END VIDEO CLIP) http://www.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1210/24/acd.02.html |
