Democratic outside-spending group Majority PAC starts airing ads in Pennsylvania for Sen Casey
Majority PAC goes up in Pennsylvania
The Democratic outside-spending group Majority PAC is going on the air in Pennsylvania with ads boosting Sen. Bob Casey, as public polls show conflicting data on the first-term Democrat’s reelection prospects.
Casey leads Republican Tom Smith in every credible poll, but by margins that have ranged from the low single digits to the low double digits. Majority PAC, the superPAC charged with defending Democrats’ control of the Senate, apparently isn’t taking Casey’s reelection for granted.
The Pennsylvania ad is one of four that Majority PAC released this morning, along with spots targeting Nevada Sen. Dean Heller, North Dakota GOP Rep. Rick Berg and Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock. I reported yesterday that Majority PAC was putting $1.1 million into Indiana ads over the next week and Mourdock’s comments about rape and abortion last night are only likely to make the race more competitive.
