If Obama had confirmed exactly what he knew about Benghazi right away...

...rethugs would be screaming at him for leaking sensitive information.

This is why leaders almost ALWAYS hold their cards close to their vests in situations like this. Even if you know what's going on - you don't necessarily run out to the press and give everything away immediately.

Romney's video comments about using a crisis to his advantage (should one arise) have really opened a lot of eyes in my world.
It's very red around here, and they don't like this at all.

Very often, the situation on the ground is confusing, communications are poor, and even people on the scene aren't sure what's happening.
