Obama's performance as President clearly shows that he is/was ready to take on the job....and if he wasn't completely ready to get into law school, his post education performance clearly indicates he caught up and excelled by any measure. To me that is an even bigger accomplishment that NOT getting in because of affirmative action.

Until now I never realized that having a 4.0 GPA was specified in the U.S. Constitution as being requisite for a POTUS. If that is the case, how did "dead last at West Point" John McCain manage to sneak in under the radar enroute to the 2008 nomination?

Long answer, they think they may find a few things:

(i) Obama applied as foreign student or received financial aid as a foreign student (which feeds the birther loonies); or
(ii) Obama benefited from affirmative action or some other mysterious dark power who got him into Harvard.

I think the Trump "reveal" gives Fox something to talk about while everyone else can talk about how Rmoney lied at the Staples owner's divorce.

But, I am pretty sure he did not need it.. Of course he did "check a box" that indicated that he was not "white"...so if the colleges accepted him, he was a "two-fer" for them, and should not reflect anything of a nefarious nature to him..

I've seen a couple of posts on facebook about the issue and just didn't get it. It's like they had to come up with something that he was hiding. I never cease to be surprised by dumbasses and the hard right, even the "educated" ones.

There is no "Affirmative Action" box that would show up on Obama's college record. Although race is taken into consideration,
along with other qualities when being considered for admission at Harvard, there is no box that's checked, as the application process
is much more qualitative and the final reason any student gets in is not based on a "check off list" that would indicated that race was the reason he got in.

This request is just another dog whistle for the racists. Period.

It's on record that he graduated Magna Cum Laudi. You don't get that without straight As or very close to that, it's done numerically by GPA.

It's not the answer they want, like the birth certificate, so off they go into fantasy land.

The most important thing i see is that he has kept the billionaires and their right wing movement tied up for years and the billionaires are now getting frantic for movement their way. Does anybody think these rich fellows just want to give their money away in great gobs just to be part of some kind of movement? The billionaires got movement with * and went halfhearted in with Obama but have now since soured.
