Trumps reasoning behind this.

1. Get attention;

2. Fire up the Birther GOP base, which still isn't all that wild about Romney, so they'll turn out to vote;

3. See #1.

Not with a bang, but a Derp.

3. I think it would be a hoot if Obama gave him the birth certificate

(which he's already produced) and his college transcripts, and demanded the $5 mil to be donated to the DNC, or the ACLU, or the Sierra Club.

5. He included the weasel words "to my satisfaction" in the statement.

That means he'll never be satisfied like all birthers, regardless.

6. It would be funny, but....

Trump should be completely ignored by Obama and his campaign. Completely ignored, not acknowledged one little bit.
Given no credence, given no recognition.

7. And

Him getting fired yesterday is actually a pretty big deal. I don't believe for one minute that Trump didn't see it coming . . . I don't believe for one minute that he would not do anything - anything to show that he's really not the cutting edge business person he's proclaimed himself to be all of these years . . .

9. Ha ha, it's similar to when he has someone on Celeb Apprentice

and he acts like he's all down with their music and up to date on their career. You know damn good and well he has NEVER heard of this person.

8. Obama should draw up a contract before he does anything, and make it ironclad so that

he can come after Trump's assets if he doesn't keep his end of the bargain.

10. Obama should ignore this whole charade.

Really, it doesn't even dignify a response from The President of the United States!

13. I agree, Obama should ignore it. BUT, an outsider should counter with $10M for 10 years of taxes. :)

16. Trouble is, Trump will never be "satisfied"

He wasn't satisfied by Obama's long form birth certificate, either.
