12. It's a pity Intrade apparently isn't legal for US residents to participate on.

The US-based Iowa Electronic Markets ( http://tippie.uiowa.edu/iem/ run by the University of Iowa) has a 'no action' letter from the CFTC permitting
it to operate and for US residents to participate).

10. I think anyone who participates in something that's no more than a "pay to play" poll deserves

to lose every penny they think they're investing.

And so help me gawd I know what I'm doing in two years when the mid-term elections take place. What a fucking SCAM. I love it.

11. Considering how much media exposure intrade gets I'm not surprised.

You can paint the tape for less than the price of a TV ad in a major market.

18. yes I haven't seen it posted here yet but on another random forum

The right wing is drudging up a story about the WH receiving an email from a terrorist group claiming responsiblity for the embassy attack AFTER the attack happened. Somehow this is supposed to prove that the WH knew it was terrorism and planned. Terrorist groups are always claiming responsibility for attacks even ones that they did not actually do. And there are still mixed signals as to whether it was truly planned or spontaneous or a mix of both. The nuance is lost on conservatives. This may play for the rest of the week but I don't see it having a big effect on the election.

I doubt this will have much traction despite how much conservatives want it to change things.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57538689/emails-detail-unfolding-benghazi-attack-on-sept-11/?tag=AverageMixRelated

every news station imaginable is spinning the story cbs abc nbc msnbc reuters
hopefully it dies out...all that its doing is creating conspiracy theories everywhere....rediculous.

Intrade moves just as much on news stories as polls.

23. I don't really see how? The WH has said all along there were mixed signals.

Nothing contradicts what the WH has already said about this issue. Plus the stories just say that a group claimed responsibility on facebook and it mentions another group also claimed responsibility. There were also reports that it was totally spontaneous and thus these groups might have taken advantage of the confusion to claim responsibility for an attack they didn't do. I'm not sure what conservatives would have wanted? For the WH just to say a certain group actually did the attack, when it wasn't known for certain?

15. Don't they have us winning?

As I look at the electoral college map, it's not that different than what I think today's vote would be.

I expect Obama to get stronger before the election, but the map has Ohio as an undecided state but with Obama the favorite to win it. If he does, and all the other states hold true on this map, WE are at 271 and a victory, even if the other toss-up, Iowa, doesn't come our way.

To me, this map says we win.
