he was governor of a state where he tried to run it for 2 years, then left to run for president. His state was overwhelmingly for the other party and his main job was vetoing legislation and watching it get overridden.

He has never had to work through a military briefing, work with his republican legislature, worked in Washington insider politics, pass a national budget... He is trying to win the most stressful job on Earth and he's use to the world being toadies and yes men. The Washington people spun Bush into a maze of crap and buried him. They'll do the same to Romney. He might be smarter than Bush, but he has the same insulated CEO mind set and the same gang of idiots that know how to talk terrible ideas up to him and insulate him from the truth.
