I don't believe there's an October Surprise until I see one.

I'm not saying there isn't one.

Not even saying there isn't enough out there to make one likely.

Just saying that when I read here that "something's coming", I feel a bit teased and manipulated.

You may not feel the same way and you don't need to.

But I do.

We've been teased before with these things. If you know something, post something of substance that you know.

If you cannot tell what you know, consider that we've been teased, tricked and manipulated before (by people that knew NOTHING). For lots of us, the promise without substance that something big is coming seems kind of manipulative.

I'm not telling you what to do, but I'm telling you what some people feel in response to an OP about an October Surprise or the like that is accompanied by no substance to back it up.

So far, I haven't seen anything in GD to actually back up all the instances of "October Surprise" or promises that something's coming.

"Is it hookers? Oh maybe it's hookers!"

"Is it the tax returns? Oh maybe something's in there!" (of course there's stuff in there, but until someone's got something, we got nothing --and I'm not complaining about Reid --he did say something, not everything, but *something*)

"Was there another dog on the roof? Oh maybe..."

It's just sad. All this effort and adrenaline should be directed towards GOTV and convincing others about things WE ALREADY KNOW about Romney, his plans and things that are documented a thousand times in a thousand places. They are there, some are funny, some are mocking, some are serious, some are not, but real things have a role and should have greater attention to us than the promise of some scandal that hasn't arrived (at least not until it's arrived).

Every day there'd be a new OP about how * was about to be taken down by some new information/scandal. Needless to say, it didn't go down that way. I'd love for there to be an anti-robme October surprise, but I refuse to get my hopes up.

who had a different view on every issue every thirty minutes or so, has a history of cruelty to animals and other people, made his millions by destroying profitable businesses and laying off American workers, and said absolutely the wrong thing every fourth time he opened his mouth...

...wouldn't you be worried about what might come out about him next?

That's why the Republicans are upset.

We want Obama to win head to head with Romney and not in a way that diminishes the win and the GOP saying the only reason Obama won was because Romney was screwing around.

Ruth McCue Bell (Graham) (1920–2007) was the wife of the famous Christian evangelist, Billy Graham. Ruth McCue Bell (Graham) was posthumously baptized by Mormons on October 18, 2008 in the San Antonio Texas (LDS) Temple.

Unless there isn't one.

And history repeats itself!!!!!
Until it doesn't.

It's all confirmation bias. You remember the hits; and ignore the misses.

And, people go crazy during the full moon, unless they don't.

When the "librul media" began reporting Mittzi had gained several points after the debate, and continues to report that as fact. I cannot believe Americans are that stupid, most of them, anyway, but the fact is that some are easily swayed to support a candidate they believe will "win," just so they can say they were on the "right" side.

Marketing and advertising has fucked this country, once a nation of citizens, now only many easily-manipulated demographics.
