Report: Jackson Jr. under criminal investigation

9:55AM EDT October 15. 2012 - Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is reportedly under federal investigation for allegations that he misused campaign money to decorate his house, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The WSJ is citing unnamed sources "familiar with the matter" in its story, which reports that the U.S. attorney's office and the FBI are "in the final stages" of its investigation into the matter.

Jackson, an Illinois Democrat first elected in 1995, has been on medical leave from the U.S. House since June 10. He was treated for bipolar disorder and intestinal problems at the Mayo Clinic and released in September.

<snip>

The WSJ says this criminal matter is not related to a separate investigation into whether Jackson raised money for then-Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich in exchange for an appointment to Barack Obama's former U.S. Senate seat. Jackson has denied any wrongdoing in the Blagjojevich investigation.

1. WITCH HUNT!

they have been trying to bring down the Rev. Jesse Jackson and his entire family (including his son) for decades now.

Dems need to win the house and investigate Isaa for misuse of government funds

(BTW-why would you edit the article, and print the bottom paragraph, making a reader come along and think you were leading the reader to seeing the name of the former Gov.
(at quick glance, a reader wouldn't see the word NOT related.)

wouldn't surprise me if this is probably the same withchunt people that never indicted Karl Rove had.

He should have stepped down. He's been on leave for five months. He's a spoiled, entitled, partying political heir.

who are you? Judge, jury, executioner?

I voted for Rev. Jackson twice for President.
I would vote for his son in the future.

Since when is a mental health problem something that needs to be ashame of?
He is getting help.
What about the senators that have had strokes/heart attacks?

What about Paul Tsongis, who claimed he was healthy, just a short while before he died?

BTW-what evidence do you have that he is guilty?

Is a spoiled, entitled, partying in young days something that is wrong?

IF SO-then Jack and Bobby Kennedy weren't qualifed to be dog catcher, were they

See what happens when you use the analogy that is well, so faux.

Rev. Jackson forever! and his son. MY LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL. (same with Rev. Al Sharpton.

No retreat, no surrender. Unconditional love.

I am not a cutten runner when someone is in trouble that I have admired for decades.

(unlike say the major fraud that John Edwards perpetrated attempting to be someone but from day one was not the person perported to be. I called it first.

This is the FBI under Holden and President Obama. Do you really think they're persecuting him?

I'm not saying that a mental health condition is something to be ashamed of but he's been off the job for nearly half a year. If you can't fulfill your duties than perhaps you should resign.

And YOU played judge and jury. but then I gather it's fine for you, but no one else can have a differing opinion. Hypocrisy much, dearie?

Unconditional love for a politician you don't know personally? How, uh, unhealthy can you get?

7. actually, just because someone is being investigated doesn't mean they are guilty

and Patrick Fitzgerald and justice is blind, not political(except when he didn't prosecute Karl Rove)

so one has to investigate when it is called for

but it's the REPUBLICANS that have been out for blood from day one. Not Obama.

but-are you saying (as you believe he is guilty without a trial), are you saying it should be covered up just because he is a democrat?

you seem to be mixing up guilt and investigation

It's like an audit-if you did nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear.
if you don't you do.

and when people earn my loyalty, I am not a oh my god, one day out of 40 years he said something not so good, that means I hate him now stabber in the back.

It's like (I assume you are from California), if so, I don't hold it against Jerry Brown if he at times isn't perfect. Not many people are. But I won't rail against him for a few things wrong

(one of the reasons I consider LBJ the #3 president of all time, a minor infraction in a lifetime of greatness doesn't get me to cut and run.)
