If he is successful this will be confirmation that technology can pull of a stunt such as this.

I'm just getting some talking here and there between Felix and mission control so I'm not sure what is going on exactly.
I think people like this man should be commended for what he is doing.

- To aid development of a new generation of space suits - including enhanced mobility and visual clarity - and other systems to lead toward passenger/crew exit from space.

- To aid development of protocols for exposure to high altitude/high acceleration.

- To aid exploration of the effects on the human body of supersonic acceleration and deceleration, including development of the latest innovations in parachute systems.

What I was just hearing is he is having a problem with the heater on the emergency chute, I think that its the emergency chute, the one on his chest. Just now came back on and mission control is explaining the armstrong line. I'm not sure I'm liking the sounds of this as I'm hearing it now.

at 63000 ft, your bodily fluids would boil without pressurisation! Called the Armstrong line - Wow, that is scary!

but when I heard that he did it while in the AF, then it made more sense. Yet, all the gear they use now is so much more advanced now, it seems almost like a miracle that Kittinger survived.

...to do this thing. A couple of years ago he was looking for sponsors and seemed to be ready to make the attempt WITHOUT the high tech logistics that RedBull is providing.

What with their corporate image of rulebreaking, RedBull would seem a likely sponsor.

Seems like a nice guy, glad there are deep pockets to keep him safe.
