An 84-year-old Avenues woman was stabbed 111 times by her grandson, according to charges filed Friday against the man.

Zachary Cole Weston, 21, faces a charge of aggravated murder — a crime that carries the possibility of death — in the slaying of his grandmother earlier this month.

On Oct. 3, police found Joyce "Honey" Dexter dead in her home at 310 J St.

Weston, who had been living with the woman, was standing next to her in bloody clothes and holding a bloody knife, according to the charging documents filed in 3rd District Court. ...

1. He should've been locked up in a mental institution before this happened.

Mental institutions across the country have closed in past decades. There is no funding for them, maybe? So they medicate them and send them on their way, after a short stay. When some should be institutionalized for life, sad as that may be. They're just too dangerous. This guy had been violent a number of times before this.

Poor grandma. Grandmas sometimes refuse to see the truth.

the mental institutions in the US under the guise of neighborhood care. He did the same in California as governor.
