MY MOM'S HOME MODIFICATION WENT THROUGH!

This was the Obama program that now allows her to stay in her house! She's struggled finding payment since my dad died in Nov., 2010. Prior to his death, she had never missed a payment on their mortgage.

But we had been waiting for them to rule since earlier this year ... and it's been a long process. Well, she got the phone call today that they approved her modification and her payments will now be lowered by around $300 a month.

So happy for her! It's been a tough, tough two years since Dad died.

3. Unfortunately, the banks will not do anything that doesn't benefit them.

Most likely, her interest rate was lowered and her payment dropped. That's the good news. Part of her original payment might be deferred into an escrow account that she will have to pay off if she ever sells the house. Her loan might also now be a 40-year loan instead of a 30. That's what BoA did to me.

4. She won't ever sell the house...

This is the house she grew up in and she's now in her 60s.

7. Excellent news! Took us about 5 months to...

...be informed of our 3-month trial period. We will have a permanent modified mortgage starting January 1st. It's going to save us about $700 per month to include the modified mortgage amount which will include homeowners insurance and property taxes escrowed which we had paid separately before. We are overjoyed that we will be able to stay in the house for which we've been paying since 1996.

My sympathies to you and your mom for the passing of your Dad, and tell her congrats for getting the loan modification.

9. Fantastic

Give you mom a hug from all of us! Not knowing if you'll lose your home is bad enough, but on top of losing your life partner -- that takes enormous strength!

11. Celebrate! Another Great thing the Obama Admin has done

for our Peeps.

You know a mitt-ryan admin would not advocate for those who need help. Not theirs to worry about.

13. My daughter got one during the summer.

She and my grandkids were able to stay in their home after her husband moved out. We're so grateful to President Obama for his help with this program.

My son has also been helped by our President. A brain tumor a couple of years ago had put him close to his lifetime cap for medical coverage but thanks to Obamacare, he won't have to worry about that.

Unless, of course, Willard gets in the White House. Then it's every man for himself. It scares me to death.

I, personally, love President Obama and I know that he truly cares about the American people, regardless of their income level.
