BIDEN: Sure he did. By the way
RYAN: On two occasions we we we advocated for constituents who were applying for grants. Thats what we do. We do that for all constituents who are

(12,296 posts)... i thought maybe it was on purpose, in that 'Lunchpail Joe' kinda way ... it was a rebuttal to one of Lyin's many lies, and Joe said something like "I wish they'd stop ly ... they'd show more candor" ... it was pretty hilarious because you KNOW the word LIAR was right there waiting to jump out ...

(16,174 posts)He got Ryan to make the point that every thinking American already knows. And he showed how it's okay for the GOP to do this, but then not okay if the Dems do it.
Masterful in my estimation.

(23,156 posts)Leave Mr. Pete out of it.
Would you say, "It made I beam with pride?" I hope not. You'd say, "It made me beam with pride."
The way to tell the correct pronoun to use in a compound formulation like that, is to leave the other person out. You will always get it correct.
People do not go around saying things like, "Me went to the grocery store yesterday", although they will say "Tom and me went to the grocery store yesterday," and so on.
Exiting grammar witch mode.

(10,942 posts)I turned it down because I didn't want to risk another Obama style debate flop and end up wanting to flush my head in a toilet. But Biden was spectacular, Biden mastered Ryan and contested every single bit of bullshit that Ryan threw out, contested them with verifiable facts. I read that President Obama watched the debate, I hope that the President saw in stark contrast where he failed to contest Romney's bullshit.

(423 posts)The way to decide when to use "I" or "me" is to remove the other person's name first.
Correct: "Join John and me tonight while we watch the debate."
Incorrect: "Join John and I tonight while we watch the debate."
(Because "join me tonight" is correct, while "join I tonight" is not.)
Correct: "May John and I watch the debate with you?"
Incorrect: "May John and me watch the debate with you?"
(Because "may I watch the debate with you?" is correct, while "may me watch the debate with you" is not.)
So you used "me" correctly in your subject line: "The Moment Our VP Made Me ... Beam With Pride" instead of "The Moment Our VP Made I ... Beam With Pride"
