Is there a political event tonight? According to most news outlets, there is only a sporting event.

The story on network, after radio channel, after cable channel, after newspaper can be summarized thusly:

The Ryan/Biden match is tonight.

It is in Kentucky.

This "person on the street" thinks Ryan will "clobber" Biden.

That "person on the street" thinks Biden will stop Ryan cold.

Then the pundits tell us "what Biden needs to do" and how Ryan can "capitalize on the team's momentum."

Not one fucking word about issues.

Yeah well, that's happening here too. Seems to be the way primates approach politics. Matariki Oct 2012 #2

Kind of like watching half-time at the Super Bowl.

Actually, watching the debate would not be good for my blood pressure, although I do have a lot of confidence in Biden. I think/hope, he WILL bring up the issues and pin down the squirmy Ryan.

I may or may not watch the "post game wrap up".
I hope there will not be too many boxing analogies,
like I heard after the Romney/Obama match.
