The VP debate may help Obama but the town hall is going to be what wins the election for us.

Mittens is terrible at interacting with regular people almost as bad as bush41. Let's not forget the "corporations are people" debacle. I have a feeling that Obama will wipe the floor with him next week especially because he's so good off the cuff. Mitt is a stiff and really who couldn't do what he did last week which was come out, drop all previously held positions, lie his ass off, and talk over everyone else. Any prick could act that way but it's much harder to talk to regular people and be genuine.

hasn't used it lately but skills are skills and they never really go away. I think Last week he didn't respect mittens and thought that people would see through the bs but I think he's focused now.

3. I think the foreign policy debate will really be the one to watch.

Willard Romney has yet to engage in foreign policy without creating a disaster for himself. Obama is going to have a lot of fun with the comment Willard made about Russia being our number one enemy, when Obama brings that up in the debate prepare to watch Willard meltdown as he has to choose between admitting he was wrong on elementary foreign policy or look like he is picking a fight with a major world power that we have not been in conflict with since the Cold War. Obama should have a very easy time taking Mitt down in any foreign policy debate. The town hall will also have some foreign policy questions which Obama will no doubt nail Mitt on, but I bet he saves his best ammo for the third debate.

5. Romney needs to be asked which countries he wants to go to war with.

Also, the townhall debate is a chance for Obama to speak directly to Americans.

I really want to know what to expect from him. All you have to do is tell a few stories about voters or people you met (like the SEAL) and a lot of people will be fooled, so I don't assume Romney will necessarily be terrible. Of course, if you look closely, you can sometimes catch people with body language that suggests they're lying, but that is not always true.
