When you're GE's bigwig, current or former, you have some influence and you're celebrated.

Guy's on CNBC every other week in the morning. The morning (hell, and the afternoon and evening) on that station is nothing but right-wingdings interviewing super-right-wingdings. Is there any reason to have them on every other week? Not really, unless you have propaganda to hammer in people's heads.

That's why Jack Welch is on your TV. In any other country, he'd be laughed out of public view.
