OK, this is not 2008, where most Democrats actually had two serious candidiates to examine, and the far left could honestly say they wanted neither.
However, in light of all the monkey jokes, Birther messes, dog whistles, it is impossible to say that race does not play a factor in this debate. Right down to the "Boy" in the debate.

(82,383 posts)As to Republicans, while it is true they would oppose a white Democrat, that does not prove they are not racists. They always are, they just had a better chance to show it. They are sexists too and would be the same had it been Hillary.

(20,600 posts)they are coming out of the woodwork and I guess they think they want to get revenge on the black man or something. This is horrible. If Romney wins, it will mean the racists triumphed.

(950 posts)some of them (my brother for instance) hates the President but would happily, giddily vote for Cain or West. I told him at the time that west is a maniac and Cain is a CEO of a bad pizza company, but I can't make any inroads with him. Besides we spend too much time arguing football
