I went out today delivering yard signs for a local race. I did not see ONE SOLITARY sign for a Republican candidate. I did see 2 signs about saving America with prayer and one about abortion. But ZERO for GOP candidates. I also got accosted by a lady who was mistakenly on my yard sign list who said we're all godless baby killers. Interestingly enough, even SHE didn't have a candidate yard sign.... just Tea Party bumper stickers.
I tried to be polite to her. I apologized for bothering her and said to have a nice day, but she kept yelling at me and shaking her fist. I thought she was going to have a stroke she was so worked up! She called me an idiot and I told her that wasn't very "Christian" of her.

(14,400 posts)when you say it's not very Christian of them, drives them nuts. Keep doing what you're doing.

(145,060 posts)I am in Fort Bend County and we can not keep enough Obama Biden yard signs in stock. I was at the party's headquarters on Sunday following a get out the vote rally and was going to pick up a sign but we were out.
Are you doing a Souls to the Polls program. We have a number of African American churches participating and will be busing people to early voting locations on October 28.

I have driven folks to the polls on election day the past couple years, but there just wasn't much demand for it. I only got a few calls each time. I think people were taking care of their own neighbors and family who needed rides, so they just didn't need to call us.

(14,487 posts)EVER driving from Galveston County through Harris County. I have seen a few more Tea Party or general anti-Obama stickers, but almost nothing in favor of Rmoney, and not even many for local candidates. I think they are really lacking in enthusiasm this time around which means fewer votes!

(759 posts)and of course more anti-Obama stickers than both combined. I don't see much enthusiam for Rmoney. Some of my coworkers now claim that they're 'independents' but then proceed to repeat the Fox-noise anti-Obama memes

(3,413 posts)I live up here in northern Williamson (no sheiiit) County, a county that, if it held its breath, would die before turning blue.....some races here, I get a choice between the Greedy Old Party and the Libertarians. They named the northern, Williamson County extension of Parmer Lane "Ronald Wilson Reagan Boulevard". Hey, that's actually pretty neat, since now I can RUN OVER several miles of the Rat Bastard on my way to and from work each day. Frankly, I have seen NO Rmoney/Ly'n signs what so evah! And only two bumperstickers extolling the virtues of said candidates. Dear, have they disenchanted their base? Oh, and bless their little hearts....

(7,759 posts)Has anyone here seen those gross photos of fetuses? They all look like beings from outer space and enlarged carried along a highway or city street, they make a fetus seem less like a human and more like something from a horror show. What are they trying to say or prove with those signs and enlarged photos?
