But it's not manipulated, just a smaller sample that leads to more volatile numbers so we could see reversion to the mean next month.

I think the 114,000 is from a smaller sample and will be quite a bit larger once it is studied and revised, meaning the unemployment rate is actually lower than the 7.8%, in my opinion.

One thing people should be rejoicing about instead of whining about is the boost in the morale of the working men and women in the country. Consumer confidence should increase and thereby increase jobs.
