Am I the only one disgusted with how rude Rmoney was to Jim Lehrer?

It seriously bugged me.

I'm not talking about the "I am gonna cancel PBS" crap, but just how rude he was in general.

One of the many, many things that made me mad about how he behaved -- even while trying to be nice he demonstrated his dislike of the poor -- but the sheer rudeness bothered me terribly. Lehrer deserves far more respect than what he was shown by that lying idiot. Because I HAVE seen the budget he's campaigned on. I saw him tell middle class people in Ohio not to expect tax relief. I remember that 47% video. He's a lair.

But apparently not even Jim Lehrer makes enough money for him to show him respect.

'Course a lot of DU'ers are more interested in crashing down on Lehrer for not telling Romney to shut his pie hole, or correcting him (i.e., for not being a rude ass to the candidate or playing ball for the president). But my opinion, it was ROMNEY who was fucking up left and right.

I like Lehrer, but he let Romney take over. Lehrer was treated poorly, but it was his job to see that the rules were followed.

I was very disappointed in Lehrer, but not at all surprised the stuffed-shirt CEO Romney acted the way he did.

33. I think a lot of people were seeing the real Romney for the first time last night

He wants the presidency really badly - not to serve his country but to serve his ego - and he probably feels like this is his last chance gambit to get it. The bullying and intimidation tactics have worked for him throughout his business career, so why stop now? Nobody questions the boss: he gets to talk, others listen and nod.

I hope his intimidation tactics sway the last undecided voters to vote for Obama: if Romney treats the president this way, how is he going to treat them?

47. And wanting to be the President, that is a reasonable expectation

Mittens should not be rewarded with victory of any kind for his behavior - it's bad enough that Bush won those two terms, as that inspired Republicans to think their bullying behavior is the same as some kind of strength.

Perhaps we should flood the internet with suggestions that during the next debate Mitt wear a shock collar so that he can be controlled. Although I read that Candy Crowley is going to be the next moderator, and if she follows her past political inclinations, she will give up the microphone to him more than willingly. But if she starts to uncross her legs, I'm turning off the set.

And if you want to go for pure evil, get a panel of fact-checkers at the debate. For every lie a candidate tells, the fact-checkers get to explain it on the spot... using the liar's debate time.

He really seemed Hyper to me...like a buzz from Red Bull or something...remember they had a blurb about Romney not being able to sleep the night before because of freight trains?

Any Gaffes they could have said it was the RED BULL....Also that tape coming out the night before showing what they saw as an angry scary black man...If Obama had attacked the lies with the same passion, this would have been "SEE WE TOLD YOU MOMENT"

The bases are pretty locked in. What this may have caused was a dampening of enthusiasm. Obama was playing for the soft middle, and independents. Who have in the past been very skittish about extremes, right or left. I think Obama did a great job last night considering all the above....he took a knee. No gaffes, no heated exchange. He didn't fall for the bait...Anyway, This is how Obama is...he isnt a boxer, a football player, or even a gladiator, he THE PRESIDENT.

And I trust Team Obama to stay on top of all that.

I almost understand it. Almost.

Lehrer was probably tired of Romney doing it and expected better of Obama. I'm obviously not sure of that as I couldn't read Lehrer's mind, but that's how it seemed to me. An interuption built from 80 minutes of exasperation at how the entire event went.

In the end it's Lehrer's fault. He lost control 5 minutes in. Not regaining it within the first 10 minutes meant he could never regain control of it.

Hopefully the next 2 moderators are properly prepared for the boy blunder team Romney/Ryan.
