Introducing Discussionist: A new forum by the creators of DU

I'm going dark after the debate

As in, no TV and no radio.

The media makes me sick, panels of undecided voters are just downright scary to watch (we allow these people to vote, really?) and don't really want to be on DU where every third post begins with the thread title of "WTF!" The worry warts and Oh Noes brigade will control the board tonight.

So I will pass.

3. I will watch the debate and also have my laptop fired

up on DU to watch the DU instant reaction.

Four years ago, I watched each debate on CNN so that I could observe the focus group instant reaction, read the commentator blogs online durint the debate and, of course watch the debate. It was a multi-tasking event for me.

This time I can't decide whether to watch it on C-Span or MSNBC.

4. Watch MSNBC. Aren't Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes covering the debate?

Sounds like a very insightful and pleasant evening to me!

5. I don't blame you, but often I find that DU does help...

more than it hurts...I sure wish it had been around when Dukakis was running and made that offhand response about Kitty being raped and murdered was hard to take...it was SO painful...

7. I'll probably be bouncing...

Back and forth between MSNBC and Current. Might be happier if I turned it off, but I know I won't.

Highly recommend that everyone turn off the noise machine.
