Just a guess.... it would be exponentially more complex to do.

(40,416 posts)3. Congressional race polling is sparse. Too expensive.
Some races do it, but they would be internal polls.
We will see some in the next weeks, though. More generally pollsters will attempt to get the general "sense" of the electorate, I think. And then we'll hear all sorts of rubbish about coat tails -- both pro and con.
