When I think of it, Romney just not know sports enough because he is not interested in sports. Look at his Nascar comments. Romney's sport is making money and bullying.

Hitting a 95 mph breaking ball is probably one of he most challenging things to do in sports.

DU is so fucking boring and predictable any more.

STFW. One man's opinion and all the arguments in the world can be made. But if assholes start trashing Nicklaus because of this it will be so god damned sad.

He's a great golfer, but I think the criticism is that golf is not an overly athletic sport when compared to more physically demanding sports. It's also a criticism of R$ who rarely leaves life outside the country club.

My husband is a big sports fan and he has nothing against golf or Nicklaus, but he named either Jim Thorpe or Jesse Owen. I think the key word is "athlete," and you tend to think of all-around athlete which Thorpe and Owen were. It isn't trashing Nicklaus to make that point.

I would go with Jordan, prime RJJ or Gretzky but certainly better the Pele, Ruth, Owens, Robinson and Ali. There is no question Nicklaus was the greatest golfer of all time. (And I don't even like the man.)

..... play football or baseball told him to stick to golf. BTW Jack is not very tall
and he is color blind too. Don't get me wrong Jack is the best golfer ever and he
has given millions to charity but he is hardly "the greatest athlete in the 20th century."

A rich parasite like Rmoney thinks Jack Nicklaus is "the greatest athlete in the 20th century", not because of his athletic prowess, but because of his success in business.
