Questions about the fitness tests for POTUS (medical)

Who knows about how this works? I saw an article yesterday where Mitt had released medical documents from his doctor indicating his fitness, or at least the level to which he was checked. Which is my actual question. Is there anything in law about what the standards are? I realized Mitt gets to keep his own doctor, which is as it should be. But is there another step involved anywhere? Reason being, based on his attesting to taxes, etc I don't trust a thing he says. Not a thing.

Also, does anyone know how Alzheimer's is detected? Is there a medical test that is definitive? Like can a CT show lesions or shrinkage or inflammation or whatever? I'm curious about that as well. After Reagan, which was bad enough, I shudder thinking of how much worse it might have been. The man might have his finger on the button. I think we deserve to know the full state of his medical fitness, and I don't mean BP and cholesterol. I mean, we must make sure a mad man never advances to POTUS, and given Citizens United, it's apparent that one potentially could. Thoughts?

....is that Lurch the Fucking Stiff'sTM paid quack reported that the fucking assclown's resting pulse was 40. Fuck you, Lurch, elite athletes with few exceptions don't have that measurement and you don't strike me as much of an athlete.

For the record, I work out five days a week using techniques I learned in the service and my resting pulse stands at a running average of 56.

So I challenge the fuckstain to a session of my PT anytime, anywhere.

Oh, wait, he's a fucking coward, he'd never agree to it.

In high school, we learned how to take each other's BP and heartrate. After learning what my numbers were, the teacher came over and insisted the girl who had taken my numbers must've done it wrong. Nope. The teacher got the same numbers. BP was 90/53 and heartrate was 50. She looked at me and said she was surprised I wasn't passed out (I told her if she wanted to see that I'd just get down on the floor and then stand up real quick, LOL.)

But I was a 16 year old girl who worked out constantly and played many sports (and had a family history of low BP) and I certainly don't have those same numbers today in my mid-30's. Mitt is a 65 year old man who has enough of a family history of heart disease that he's taking Lipitor. I call bullshit on his heartrate as well.

I'm a runner and my resting pulse is 53. My doctor told me that if I wasn't physically active he would be concerned about a resting pulse of 53, but since I run 6 days a week he's not concerned at all.

I have yet to see Robme do any kind of exercise so I call bullshit on a resting pulse of 40.

... for the presidency. Like tax records, it's a tradition for candidates to provide this information so that rumors about their health or finances won't become weapons for their opponents to use in a campaign. If he doesn't want to release these records, we're free to call him on it politically.

as far as I know at least some of the tests are cognitive. As parts of the brain deteriorate people lose certain abilities. Reading is one. One interesting one is they're asked to draw a clock with all the numbers in their right place. Then they're asked to draw the hands showing, say, when it's 2:00. When the patient has dementia they will know what they're drawing but the numbers will all be in the wrong places or all of them will be on one side of the clock and the arms will be there but also in the wrong places.
