It's great news to hear there have been so many. But where do these absentee ballots go...to the state or individual counties? Who occupies the offices to which they will be mailed? I don't know the answers. I just hope they're counted.

I have heard some states (Texas I think was the worst) where they may not get counted.
If the auditor received 1000 requests, she better send out 1000 ballots. If the auditor receives 990 back in, she better have 990 on her machine counter (run through on election day).

The parties will do their best (or at least Dems will) to get all those ballots sent out voted.
We get lists of who is voting absentee and we do call them.

But....it will be a long night! Small towns finish fast and can count them fast, but in a city it'll take a while.

It's always a stresser election night because the small red state precincts come in first so it looks like republicans are ahead and then the big cities come in and its BAM BAM BAM!!
