the Democrats?"

I have to say that for a kid who doesn't really pay attention to politics, that was a pretty astute assessment. Perhaps my having it on in the background all day is paying off? Who knows what else he is absorbing?

10. Not sure if watching the news with mom is quite at the level of Oedipal. LOL

15. Before the Mom thing

Oedipus killed his father. Father-killing as rite of becoming an adult is or has been very foundational European myth.

2. Apparently, he's off to school before Joe Scabro's show

Your post makes me consider the flipside: think of those poor children who are subjected to FAUX 'News'? Scary to consider what they're absorbing.

5. Yes, the kiddos are out the door early. I wouldn't make them watch that show. And I agree, the kids

exposed to FOX are getting an extra helping of reinforcement that anger is supposed to be your main emotion.

8. Well, reality has a well-known liberal bias.

That might have something to do with it?

17. The benefit of MSNBC is that they usually present the truth.

I have even observed them correcting a report when it was not entirely accurate.

That certainly cannot be said about Fox, which is predominantly propaganda and lies.

21. 12 year old are the most confounding kids on the planet

I'm convinced this is when they cross the threshold from child minds to pre-adult minds. It's the age where they stop being your sweet little kid and they start being the much more sophisticated and nuanced and complex teen thinking before maturing into the adult brain. And every once in a while they'll say things that astound and confound you. And sometimes they're still you little kid. I think it's especially noticeable in boys because their voices start to change and they start to get fuzz over their upper lip.

my lap all within the space of a few minutes sometimes. LOL Very mercurial to say the least.
