President Barack Obama may have been having a good political week, but if the latest artwork from his reelection campaign is any indicator, it might have all gone to his head.

A tweet sent out today by the President's official Twitter account proclaimed "A poster to say there are no red states or blue states, only the United States." However, the flag on the poster promoted by the tweet had no states at all. Instead, the star field representing the 50 states was replaced by the "O" logo used by Obama's election campaign. The flag is available as an art print on the campaign's official online store.

The symbolism - that Obama appears to consider himself greater than the people of the 50 states - is not lost on his critics. It is not as though they defaced (modified) an authentic flag for this. It is art, a representation of an ideal we all share. The Obama camp shares this ideal as well.
