There is an interesting attempt at damage control emerging from Romney supporters . . .

. It says, in effect, that Romney's comments on the now infamous video do not represent his "real" views, but were mere pandering to a group of wealthy donors in order to secure their patronage.

So, in order to counter the perception that Romney is a cynical, craven man who will shamelessly lie to certain groups of voters in order to secure their vote and thus win an election, they are present him as a cynical, craven man who will shamelessly lie to certain groups of voters in order to secure their cash and thus win an election.

Do they think that helps his cause? LOL!

They always put the rich Jews on my schedule.

Unless you put down that malt liquor and chicken wings, you'll never get rid of a guy like me.

If anyone is interested, it is a fantastic movie!

Will have to Netflix it again to take my mind off the real election for a few hours.
There was also a movie with Chris Rock as the first black President which seemed so unlikely just a few years ago it was major comedy material. Actually pretty funny.

but in all my years of following politics, I don't recall a more egregious panderer than Romney. Maybe the video represented his real views, maybe it was shameless pandering. The problem of MR is: how can anybody know what his "real" positions are when he's had different views on the same key issues all within a short period of time. If the relatively few "flip-flops" of John Kerry were such a negative campaign issue back in '04, why aren't there more people showing up at Romney campaign stops waving rubber sandals? I don't think anyone has "flip-flopped" more than MR. This is the time the GOP ought to be getting a taste of their own medicine.

He has a consistent track record going back 20 years of LYING.

Imagine you put any Repubs face on the shooter and the unarmed mans' face is replaced with Jesus' photo. You then tell a Repub you have proof such and such shot Jesus in the head? They'd deny it to their graves. A good portion of them will not believe anything unless Faux News tells them to, they are that indoctrinated.
