I am at a point where I think you can buy yourself out of any stupidity, gaffe, blunder, lack of skill, lack or knowledge, etc.
Make a mistake? No problem just spend $10 million on ads next weekend and lie about your opponent!
Totally screw up a major international incident? Hell, run ads the next day saying your opponent is destroying the economy.
I hope we can counter this idiots ads effectively.
People are more interested in TV than politics. That is scary.

(45,319 posts)instead of facts, that's never a good sign. I'm talking about Mitt and this OP actually. I'm sick of the 'Americans other than myself are stupid/lazy/only watch TV instead of Opera like me' blurtings.
Tell me, why did this 'buy more ads' plan of yours not work out for so many past candidates, such as Meg Whitman, Not the Governor of CA? She outspent Brown on precious, magical ads 3 to 1. And she lost handily. But you claim that could not happen, because people are stupid and money buys everything and advertizing is a sort of witchcraft that knows no bounds to it's power. So what happened with Meg? And Fiorino? And all of the rest of the big money losers?
