Mitt Romney Makes Jim Backus Look Good

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/09/18/1133311/-Mitt-Romney-Makes-Jim-Backus-Look-Good

The US Republican Party took a proverbial "three-hour tour" with GWBush, and ended up on a Gilligan's Island remote from the real world, where they are stuck indefinitely due to their own incompetence. In that fantasy land Williard Mitt Romney is a maladroit and unfunny Thurston Howell III. David Brooks says it better here.

But even CBS cancelled Gilligan's Island after 3 seasons.

Many their own peeps, or at least the ones who think, don't support Romney, as one recent Kossack points out.

Williard Mitt Romney: We Simply Can't Afford Him

As Romney continues to campaign for Obama every time he opens his mouth, it more and more appears that it's all over but the voting. Republicans know this. That's why they are desperately trying to game the system with the ludicrous and unconstitutional voting laws being passed in swing states.

FULL story at link.

They say you can't spell "Romney" without "money".

I say you can't spell it without "moron".

1. Gilligan's Island was only cancelled because

the head of the studio (or his wife) loved Gunsmoke, which was being cancelled. They brought back Gunsmoke and cancelled Gilligan's Island instead.

2. Thurston Howell III was a twit

but at least he recognized that he and Lovey were in the same boat, so to speak, as the rest of the castaways. He never tried to fuck them over for his own gain.

3. At last night's presser, I thought he made Captain Queeg look good

I was expecting him to take some ball bearings out of his pocket. I could almost hear the distressed voice of Humphrey Bogart on the witness stand.

"Itís not elegantly stated, let me put it that way. I was speaking off the cuff in response to a question. And Iím sure I could state it more clearly in a more effective way than I did in a setting like that.Ē
