(61,694 posts)He doesn't like getting bad news. Sarah Palin, of all people, is trying to cover for him.
I'm not sure he knows the score, and I wonder if his handlers are being honest with him.

(297,124 posts)a bunch of brainwashed idiots on The Hollywood Report who just responded to my post about ted nugent getting canceled at Ft Knox way back when.
The world is getting older and too many people are getting more stupid from propaganda for Profit. They stick up for a draft dodging idiot and call him a patriot because he hates Pres Obama.

(59,501 posts)If attacks continue in the Middle East, his surrogates (yes, many of them deserted him yesterday, but there is no doubt they will return) will argue that Obama is responsible for the Arab spring and that the result is worse than it was before.
The fact is that we did not cause the Arab spring, nor could we have stopped it. We can play games saying that it started with Obama's speech --- or that it started with Bush's "spreading democracy" neo con efforts. I suspect that BOTH overstate our power.
The danger is that they will forget their own positions and will argue that the ME is worse for us than it was 4 years ago. It is clearly more openly volatile but were we really safer deeply allied with tyrants hated by their people. It is not clear that we could have kept Mubarak in power if we really wanted to.
There is a real danger that they try to turn this to an are you better question here. I don't think that works, but who knows' They don't have very much else they can do.
However, even if a different Republican could twist this against Obama, I don't see how Romney gets beyond smirking as he spoke yesterday just after the country learned 4 diplomats died.
