This is the most optimistic analysis of the election I have seen so far. A freeper explaining to other freepers why he thinks the Gallup poll may be correct...

Yes. Obemba already has the lib, socialist, communist, black, Hispanic, food stamp leeches, the 50% of American citizens on the gov’t dole, female and gay votes.

Let's see...

Liberal - about 24%?
Socialist - 3-4%?
Communist - I'll be charitable and give 'em 1%
Black - about 13%
Hispanic - I think % of the electorate is about 8%. (% of population much higher)
Food Stamp Leeches - well, we know that number is way up. It is estimated at 15%, but most of those are children. Call it 6%.
the 50% of American citizens on the gov’t dole - this one was easy to calculate. 50%.
Female - 51-52% of the electorate.
Gay - 4%

Not bad! Looks like we've got at least 150% of the electorate sewed up.

Seriously, though... that's a lot of large blocks of human beings to dismiss from the "legitimate" electorate. All that's left is... well, freepers.

Editor's Note: It is possible that there is a typo or spelling error in the post from freepland posted above. Perhaps the freeper was trying to say that all of those groups have been absorbed into Omeeba by osmosis. <joke>

number of Reaganites. Reagan was slick and a good actor. Often I think his whole presidency was an act, an act to betray much of America with his inane trickle-down voodoo Reaganomics.

I recall well the first time I heard of it, it was a huge WTF to me. Some of my friends also discovered money, and that fit right in with their conversion to Reaganomics. Reagan was a good back slapper, and while the convertees were yucking it up, he was pouring poison in their drinks while their backs were turned.

Though I read something once to the effect that the hippies were a small minority - most people that age were doing whatever they were doing.

But when it comes to the social issues, I don't think the right has a chance to set the clock back on that. Everyone's life changed as of the 70s, divorce, contraception, premarital sex, the whole culture has changed there.

But on economic issues, not so much.
