........
If you listened only to Elizabeth Warren, the message was catastrophically antibusiness, said Matt Bennett, co-founder of Third Way, a centrist Democratic group. That further drives a wedge between business and Democrats that may not be fair but is the way business perceives things, he said. And making voters into victims is not a winning strategy.

Not enough corporate ass kissing in her speech to make him happy I guess. Scott Brown has Bennett's quote on his site already.

(12,121 posts)Still trying to say we need to be more business friendly, even after Citizens' United.
Even after millions upon millions of Koch Bros money poured into "genuine grass roots" tea party radical right groups to defeat our Democratic president.
In the 90's, corporations were already too powerful, but they wanted to control the mass media and they wanted NAFTA and so they wooed those "Golly Gee We Gotta Be Corporate Friendly to prove we're not commies" Third Way types (called "New Democrats" back then), pushed the Democrats to pass NAFTA which really hurt our party's largest base of support, and relax the rules on media ownership to show how sensibly business-friendly the New Democrats could be-- thanks to which we now have Fox "News" and hate radio 24/7.
Gee Thanks, "New Democrats!!!!"
