GOP: "It's Over" (Clinton and Michelle Obama speeches more Tweets per minute than Mitt's)

GOP: "It's Over"

by Billionaires for Wealthcare

It was the moment that brought the voters to their feet and it was the moment that broke Romney's back.

"This convention is done. This will be the moment that probably re-elected Barack Obama." -- GOP operative Alex Castellanos.

"45 minutes into the speech, a veteran GOP operative conceded, "The Big Dog brought his A-Game -- folksy, fiery and full-throated, right down to the lip bite." NY Daily News

Tweets per minute: Clinton's speech: 22,087 versus Romney's 14,289. And this, even though the speech faced heavy competition from the kickoff of the NFL season.

From Clinton's speech:

I want to nominate a man cool on the outside but burning for America on the inside. A man who believes we can build a new American Dream economy driven by innovation and creativity, education and cooperation. A man who had the good sense to marry Michelle Obama.

The end @MichelleObama's speech drove a higher Tweets-per-minute peak than @MittRomney's at #GOP2012. 28,003 vs. 14,289 for the Gov.

Positive or negative, the speeches generated more Twitter posts than Mitt's.

It's like an audience rating.

Tweets or Twits per minute is a measure of activity, not approval.

The activity measured is almost entirely hamster wheels spinning.
