Headline at hussypost is "democrats cave". This concerns the platform, and adding god

Back into it, along with a line saying Jerusalem should be the capital of Israel

My point is not whether these issues should or should not be in the platform, personally I believe they shouldn't, but how our wonderful friends in the corporate media will use this bullshot to try and divide us

Unless the Democrats win, it will really be over. there are elements, especially wall street, and certain corporate interests who wancoco plate control. Don't be distracted

After we win we can cross the t's and dot the i's

Putting god in a sentence in a platform doesn't change the Constitution

Saying a capital is part of a country doesn't make it so, and in fact goes against the agreements that have been recognized.

In other words they are both irrelevant

Do not let the republican run media divide you

Deal with it after the election

It is the same stuff of having Dolan give a benediction, don't let it divide the party, that is what the repukes and the media want

We will deal with it after we win

Argued that we caved on healthcare reform, and there are arguments on booths sides. One that a public option or Medicare for all should have been done, and the other that it could not have gotten through the blue dogs if we had a public option.

However, we are 2 months from the most important election in most of our life times, and this rhetoric has only one intent, to divide us

They (OBAMA!) pandered to the Right. I am a Progressive and feel betrayed by this move.

"Grow a backbone" was only for Tuesday. Wednesday seems to be "Lean to the Right Day".

Piss off your base to appease.. who?

Pushed it on them. They voted for it three times. They should have done a written vote, or tabulation, not a group voice vote.

put it back in. No reasonable person could say that they actually got a 2/3 vote to change it. They did it anyway, F the rules, F what the delegates think, F democracy at the DNC, we know best.

platform committee works.
It is my understanding that the platform had already been passed.
It was total BS how the platform was amended.
A voice vote to get 2/3's. What were they using, a decibel meter.
If the powers that be want something changed, they just change it. To hell with the delegates.

Yes, the Republicans are worse. That's one hell of a campaign pitch. The platform debacle was a breathtaking demonstration of lack of character.

"Saying a capital is part of a country doesn't make it so, and in fact goes against the agreements that have been recognized."

What "agreements" contradict the statement that Jerusalem is the UNDIVIDED capital of Israel, let alone "part of a country"?!?!?!?!

Wow. you think Jerusalem might not even be a PART of Israel??
