CHARLOTTE, N.C. — With the last minute change in venue, there will be no traditional shower of balloons at the Democratic convention.

A Democratic National Convention Committee spokeswoman confirms that there won't be a drop after President Obama accepts the nomination.

The AP, which first broke the news, reports that Democrats are looking for another "suitably celebratory finish."
