That means nothing more than the Democrats feel they have to pander to the religious/nationalistic crowd in this country. The sad thing, the crowd they are trying to appeal to with this phrasing wouldn't vote for them if they were the last people on Earth, so why bother.

This is a political convention for the Head of State, after all.

Leave the religion to those that would take away our freedom.
