Famed DU Blogger Skinner's nude arm appeared on Hardball today. Republican pundits immediately noticed the nude arm and took the opportunity to attack Democrats.
Paul Ryan said, "That is disgusting. When I ran my 1 hour 50-something marathon, I had the decency to wear a watch on my arm."
Mitt Romney weighed in by saying, "Obama did that. Obama is now for naked arms waving around all willy-nilly."
Ann Romney merely sniffed and showed her wrist elegantly clad in a gold bangle bracelet from Van Kleefe and Arpell's.
"What's next?," said an American Heritage Foundation text,"Naked feet?"

(10,558 posts)Harvey. Du-uh. Spotting Skinner, Harvey went over, introduced himself. When asked, Harvey explained that he had been following Clint Eastwood for months seeking his autograph. Clint finally agreed but told Harvey he would have to wait a little linger while Clint gave a speech. Harvey patiently sat nearby while Eastwood gave his speech afterwhich Harvey finally got his autograph.
Apparently Harvey is quite the collector of autographs, as soon as he spotted Skinner and Elad he went over and collected theirs. Harvey was very happy about getting those autographs, he even high fived Skinner afterwards. (see photo).

There is mention of the dreaded kudzu, narwhals, pit bulls and a few pictures in the thread. And thinking more on it, the Olive Garden was not a problem, so I was incorrect calling it a war. You can decide for yourself. It is also part of the origin of the expression, 'Don't touch the butt' about a picture of a learning experience of a boy and a cat:
Breast-feeding mother asked to leave Olive Garden

It was nothing compared to the terrible cornflake chicken wars, which actually had to be banned from discussion by Skinner:
Please, no more threads about chicken.
I am trying to keep a sense of humor about this, so please bear with me.
I have instructed the moderators to lock new threads about chicken. If you must discuss chicken -- and, yes, I understand it is a *vitally* important topic in which you all have an intense interest -- please do so in one of the threads that was opened previously. Here's a good one:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...
Go post in there. Or post here.
I think that some of you are well aware that the discussions about chicken are not about chicken at all. The purpose of these threads is to dig up an old flame war and wave it in the faces of certain people, because you want to get under their skin. To their credit, those people have not taken the bait. But we really think that a dozen threads on a topic specifically intended to bait people is really enough.
But now we are in a completely idiotic death-spiral of enforcement and boundaries-testing. The mods lock a thread, and then three spring up. And so the purpose of starting threads about chicken is no longer about tweaking a few of your fellow DUers, it's now about tweaking the moderators.
And then I get incredulous emails from people who are shocked, shocked that discussion of chicken -- chicken fercryinoutloud -- is not allowed. As if the discussion of chicken is something that is vitally important and that everyone is really interested in.
So please, if you really need to discuss chicken, do it in one of the threads that is already open on the subject. But please stop posting new threads about chicken or turkey or whatever. I know it's really fun to tweak people, especially when those people are the moderators, but I think it's time to find to something else fun to do.
Thank you for your understanding.
Skinner

I doubt this scandal will ever achieve the epic proportions that any of those threads, but it was a good effort, Don.
