I really hate how the republicans try and act as if they are the guardians and gate-holders of religious faith. I wonder if Obama started talking more about his faith if this would be a positive influence and help the election.

(2,140 posts)In my 58 years of experience,I've come to believe that genuinely religious people are not compelled to advertise their "rightiousness"......Conversely,those who are looking to somehow game the "religous system" and of course,the sheeple,are....

(2,785 posts)However I believe in complete and utter separation of church and state. However I have no problem using the 66 books of the bible to beat right wingers over the head with for their inconsistencies. Not realistic to expect a human being to not ever talk about their faith, but Obama should only talk more about if he feels he needs to defend his faith. Not for the sake of an election. Even still those who don't believe he is a Christian now most likely never will.
