20. Speaking Of Scale Of Magnitude
|
This past Sunday a woman panelist on Meet The Press claimed, during a discussion on how Romney would create 12 million new jobs in his first 4 years, that Romney would approve the Keystone XL pipeline and that alone would create a million new jobs. Most experts say is would probably create not more than 5,000 jobs and most of those would disappear after 2 years.

It's funny. I've never thought he had a big nose. Definitely a strong angular nose. But now that so much attention is focused on his blatant lying and Pinochio references, every picture my eyes focus straight on his nose, and his regular nose appears HUGE! At first I thought it was Photoshoped.

One is for someone to ask the question "If Romney/Ryan thinks Obama's record is so bad, why do they need to lie about it?"
The second is for Biden to call Ryan a liar to his face in the VP debate when it's deserved. |

13. Nearly 1.4 million consumers filed for personal bankruptcy
|
"In 2011, 9,772 businesses filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, and nearly 1.4 million consumers filed for personal bankruptcy."
Source: http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/09/02/bankruptcy-filing-by-bain-owned-firm-shows-inequity-of-system.html Well, according to the Supreme Court, corporations (and businesses) are people, so I guess maybe people are businesses or some-such. ================================================================ "Ryan also got it wrong with regard to the number of business bankruptcies last year. In 2011, there were 1,410,653 total bankruptcies. Of that number 47,806 were business bankruptcies and 1,362,847 were non-business bankruptcies." Source: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/09/fact-check-paul-ryans-jimmy-carter-comments/ A lot of other false Ryan statements at the above link. |

Both business and non-business bankruptcy filings were down from the previous year, but I guess Ryan forgot to mention that.

23. And the reason for all these bankruptcies is ??? .........
|
TAXES and OBAMA and blah blah blah
Of course, the real reason is that the middle class has no money to spend. Most of their spending/purchasing is done with credit cards. We can't sustain a consumption-based, service-based economy on massive debt, or it will collapse. Obama has passed many bills that lowered taxes on small business. Republicans have obstructed any bills which would have put more money into the hands of the middle class, while clinging to their trickle-down delusions. Small business bankruptcies are common and expected; a good number of small businesses will fail. 47,806 is still a large number, although trending downward -- but PERSONAL bankruptcies, which have exploded because of the "legislation" (written by lobbyists) that benefits banks and screws the consumer, the huge amount of debt that the middle class has been forced to live on, and the cost of health care, account for that remaining million plus. Keep on spinnin' and lyin' all you want, Pauly, but you will find the true cause of this problem in your own mirror. |

29. Lyin' Ryan set to "OCCUPY CONFESSIONALS" (coming to a city near you...
|
I was raised in a Jewish home...& even I know a dutiful Catholic goes to confession for lying. What I don't know is how often should one go when each day comes more & more blatant lies. And they are enabled by other repukes when asked to comment on Lyin' Ryan's speech Wed. night, Mayor Rudy "9-11" Giuliani says "well look, when people give speeches not every fact is always absolutely accurate“.
Perhaps they have a priest onboard the Ryan campaign plane to make sure he doesn't amass press photos of him exiting churches in swing states for the next 8 weeks. He also needs tutors-"staffers" in math, biology, & ethics.(regardless of the Rmoney-Lyan campaign guy stating that they won't let fact checkers get in the way of the campaign. Personally, I hope they just keep on,keepin' on. They all (repuke surrogates & candidates) remind me of that old tired yet apropos joke...How can you tell if Ryan is lyin'? His lips are movin'! |
