Romney takes Labor Day weekend off

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — While President Obama rallies his supporters at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., Mitt Romney plans to spend much of next week preparing for the fall debates.

After his rallies in Cincinnati and Jacksonville on Saturday, Romney is headed to his lakeside vacation home in Wolfeboro, N.H., for Labor Day weekend. He has no public events planned Sunday or Monday. The Democratic convention will hold televised proceedings Tuesday through Thursday, with unofficial gatherings on Labor Day.

Is this an example of the type of President he would be? Absent when the pressure is on!

and he seems to tire pretty easily on the campaign trail. Wasn't he off once because his campaign said he was suffering from 'fatigue'?

Firstly, it's a three day holiday weekend...the last big one of the summer. Many are travelling and have plans...not a time condusive to campaigning. It's also a day before the Democratic National Convention that is sure to get a lot of coverage all but drowning out any rally the Bishop or Pinocchio have planned this week. And that's fine with me...one less day of them lying is one better day for this country...

I'm hoping Democrats are out at fairs and other public gatherings this weekend...Labor Day has been a traditionally "Democratic" holiday. The rushpublicans only recognize "labor" when there's a chance to turn workers against one another.

Isn't Bush still the President who took more vacation days than any other President? Clearing brush was so butch.

Mitt can't stand the union, just like anyone else who has never done an honest day's hard work in their lives.

Mitt has gotten more money out of the US government, in perks, tax breaks and loopholes in his sheltered lifetime, than the population of a city the size of Detroit has ever drawn in Social Security, in any five year span, since Roosevelt.

Mitt "fought" his "WAR" in France.

Missed a chance to say that magical Roto Rudy Ghouliani/repub phrase...(9/11), when he said, "go home and call 211".

Even Clint Eastwood failed to say 9/11, to the Chair-Man of the GOP, Mister invisible donor, up in their, where the chair is extra rare!

He does not have any stamina. He should be wiped out by November, as in exhausted.

I had a family friend who headed a big corporation when I was in my teens. He had more time off than he worked. This big shots don't work much, And when they do, it's not work like regular people do: teaching, putting out fires, stuck in an office working with numbers or customers, etc. They play work, glad hand with other Masters of the Universe, take their copters around to meetings where they are treated like gods. Not like us.
