While it would be humorous and is a valuable tool in Gestalt Therapy, for our Jewish friends an empty chair has religious significance and it could be misinterpreted.
I am not Jewish, so I would like to hear from those who are about how an empty chair at the DNC Convention might be viewed by them.

(296,753 posts)I don't want any reference to Eastwood at the Convention. At all. That will piss them off more than anything.
We have serious stuff to talk about and good warm humor will be in the mix.
Fuck off Clint Eastwood.

(2,940 posts)Religion aside, I also think it would would seem too much like a lame stunt, much like it did at the RNC. There is no need for the DNC to go there, and I can't imagine it would do them any good if they did.

(5,420 posts)but Obama won't do that to Clint Eastwood out of respect, if nothing else, for his age.
The most he would do would be a one liner.

(13,390 posts)Rebutting a failed bit would bring comparison of idiocy to performance- rather than idiocy vs. a competent and well oiled DNC

(18 posts)Puleeze. I am up to HERE with kowtowing to Israel. Jewish people do NOT equal Zionists, as in the case of someone like Noam Chomsky, but that is absurd.
What about an empty SUIT at the DNC Convention?
