How About THIS For A Performance Art REBUTTAL Gag At The Democratic Convention?

We get Alec Baldwin to come out and have a rhetorical debate with AN EMPTY SUIT that's supposed to be Romney. He could then ask him about his hidden tax returns, voter registration fraud in the 2008 election etc.

I'm thinking animatronic empty suit Romney with an etch a sketch Motown_Johnny Aug 2012 #1
Franken would do a great job of that! TrollBuster9090 Aug 2012 #6

An empty suit would be a good tit-for-tat, and would be hilarious. reformist2 Aug 2012 #3
Or at least some deligates and spectators could show up with empty suits on sticks, with the words TrollBuster9090 Aug 2012 #5

and have someone (like Sen. Franken) ask the suit questions about the flip flops and lies. Then the suit shakes the etch a sketch over it's head (if there were a head). With each question the thing shakes harder, then with two hands, then the whole body gets shaking and finally it falls over backward.

It should be done on day 1 or 2 and during the day. Doing it in prime time on day 4 is not an option.

[font color="green" face="Verdana"]Great idea, but it's probably best to let the late-night comedians run with this particular approach.

I think the Dems probably want to be the very competent adults taking the issues seriously in this particular game.

That doesn't mean we can't still have fun with it in other venues, though.

the future, and not get bogged down in the weeds of tit-for-tat insults.

I'm hoping Obama will now 'pull a Reagan' (so to speak) and go for the bold, hopeful vision of the future, rather than the negative tone of the GOP. The contrast would be a big news story.

[font color="green" face="Verdana"]The President has a great team in place and I love what they've been doing so far.

I have every confidence that the Dem convention will be a triumph -- in blazing contrast to the reTHUGs' sham circus.

ROMNEY written on them. Or make some wooden puppets that look like Romney, with strings being pulled by David Koch.
